Thank you for my history . I'm not proud but am informed .
It’s messed up but at the same time he knew that was a dangerous game messing with white girls
Sad.
So many of OUR Ancestors died this way they were not guilty of the crimes they were accused of may they ALL rest peacefully until the morning when the storm passes away 🎉❤
🤲🏾🤲🏾🤲🏾
I will spread the message
What a fascinating oral history interview! Mr. Sharp was my band director from 7th grade (East Side Jr. High 7-9) to 12th grade (Howard High 10-12). He invested so much time into us that we can’t help but love him. Through the band, we were able to travel and get a glimpse of college life such that we could envision college in our futures. Numerous Howard graduates went to Tennessee State and other HBCUs because of the exposure that we received from Mr. Sharp. He taught us lessons not only in music (and we had one of the BEST high school bands), but also discipline, dedication, confidence, and lifelong friendship. I am a proud TSU Aristocrat of Bands alumni, myself, and I can’t thank Mr. Sharp enough for the investment in time and care he made in my life ❤
middlesboro is my residence and thanks for this history.
This should be taught in schools
In a way in one poll hes beating jill stein where with the extremely low media coverage hes gotten his ratio of support to media coverage is high. That would inspire me. Hope he keeps growing in popularuty.
I was born in Middlesboro and still live here. My grandparents lived in the coal camp in Premier.
Absolutely beautiful work from an FBA. Thanks to his family for sharing this craftsman life and work. ❤
We are Alfred's decedent on his white side from his son William. Enjoyed this video.
This is a special community. Instead of denial, trivializeation this community acknowledged and came together to allow healing and growth. Denying America's history is like putting a bandage on an infected wound. It will never heal. I thank this community for setting an example of Christian love.
premiere…”pre-mary.” Yep! That’s Middlesboro, all right! That’s the way we pronounce it. LOL! 😂
Love you, Uncle Daniel. I remember coming to your Art Show in Harlem when I was young. Rest in Power

1) As I've always said, Black people are the most resilient folks on earth. 2) I often wonder how a people who have been mistreated for centuries stay mostly free of anger and hate. 3) It would be extremely wonderful to see this history taught in schools throughout the country, but given the current political climate, banning of black history and books, I don't hold much hope it'll happen. 4) Regardless of the distressing information found in this video, I found it very interesting, informative and enlightening. I look forward for more. Thank you!
My granny hance!! This is my family!! 😢 Still live close to there today!! God bless you for posting this!
Is Hoop Creek still a primarily black farming community today?

Who's paying for his campaign , I hope it wasn't the same ppl who paid for Kanye west fake campaign.
Thank you for sharing this story.
Alright he's been talking thirty minutes and hasn't said anything that grandpa who sits on the front porch could say. The presidency is a complex job. He should be talking about foreign policy, fiduciary projects involving billion and triple dollar projects. Infrastructure needs, educational needs. He's a loud mouth putting on a show, nothing more.
I'm not sure what's going on. The gluttutal reaction of any American today would be that a black man surrounded by rural white men is a dangerous thing. But I've worked in assisted living facilities and nursing homes all my life, taking care of all races and creeds, and one of my favorite residents was a black man from Kentucky who said his town was so small, isolated and rural that he didnt realize what was going on in the rest of the country until he moved out (after joining the Army). White kids and black kids played with one another because they had to; kids need playmates. Everyone was just as poor as everyone else, wearing patched up clothes and eating cornbread with soup beans. The school was integrated because only one schoolhouse could be afforded by the community. There were even mixed "marriages." I'm sure the adults had to have some cocept of Jim Crow, so it's likely the marriages were informal. Basically, prejudice requires some degree of affluence. When your survival until next winter is potentially dependent on your neighbor, and your neighbor is of a different race than you... well, racism would be pretty stupid then.
Not only did the carter's engage with african american musical traditions, but theres a marked mexican influence on "you are my flower," its melody was composed by maybelle and sara after hearing a mexican radio station down in texas.
The youths of the USA should take a stance and show inept politicians they've had enough. They should vote for a dark horse candidate outside of the good-ole-boy network come Nov 2024.
9:27 "the slaves built schools and colleges the moment they were emancipated" we're listening educated people right?
Wow this is awesome!
Woodrow Wilson & FDR gave hidden handouts to the KKK & other "White League" enforcers,
What a vile system. No wonder there are serious race problems. The black man has many justified grievances.
